«The Land of Forts» is a project of integrated territorial development, created on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation and restoring historical justice by creating a museum of Naval Glory in Kronstadt. After all, this is where the valiant history of the Russian Navy began.
The presence
The mission of the Museum of Maritime Glory of Russia is the preservation and popularization of the historical heritage of the country, fostering a sense of pride in the Russian Navy, as well as the formation of a sense of involvement in the protection of the interests of the Fatherland in the seas and oceans, the protection of the maritime borders of the country. An important aspect of the activity is the formation of patriotic feelings and confidence in the future of the Russian Federation as a world maritime power. The exposition of the new museum is based on two restored historical buildings – artillery arsenals of the First World War times. Conceptually, it is based on the principle of challenge and response, in which the key word is "force". This principle allows visitors of varying degrees of immersion in history to trace the stages of development of Russian civilization, society, and the navy. The thematic halls of the first floor tell visitors about key moments in the history of the country and the navy, starting from Ancient Russia and ending in the middle of the XX century. The second floor talks about the period from the second half of the XX to the first half of the XXI century.
